Loved it...in fact I loved both of the books that came in this volume. Books 1&2 .....they were both REALLY good. Have already recommended the series to my daughter. Can't wait to start the next book in the series.
The ending leaves things hanging between the Redwood pack and the Central pack. Their feud with the Central pack trying to destroy the Redwood pack. Now their youngest son of the Alpha to the Redwood pack is a prisoner of the Central pack. Also one of the other brothers is off searching for him. A real cliffhanger. So MUST start the next book right away.......

The writing was decent, but not great. There's a thing that good writers say, "Show, don't tell." Sadly this writer needs to find out what this phrase means...

The editing? I don't think anyone bothered, if they even knew what the word. I'm a person who doesn't notice editing problems until they are horrible. With this story even I had to grit my teeth... There were lots of spellchecker mistakes, as well as the ones that made me wonder what the author's native language is, as English is neither spoken nor phrased like that.

The story was good. Based on just the story, this could have been a 5 star story.

Because I had already purchased this entire series, and because this STORY was good, I will keep reading this series... I won't be buying more books from this author, though, and won't be recommending her...
An amazing story!
The Alpha's Path is about Kade alpha of the Redwood Pack and Melanie and it was fast paced, with action, drama and spicy love scenes.
A Taste for a Mate Jasper and Willow's story. I felt that here is where it all begins the trouble with the Central Pack. Get ready folks you are in for an awesome ride. Sure there are some issues with editing but I felt that the stories still deserved 5 stars (in my opinion).
I enjoyed the second book in this series better than the first, although the first was an introduction to the Redwood Pack. I did like how the author explained the existence of werewolves and this would have to be the first book that I read that go more in depth than any other, and I have read a few. The characters are lovable the storyline is great in the second book and the promise that this storyline will continue into to the next has me purchasing the next box set. Although the sex scenes were "nice" I have read much better. It would have been easier to leave them out considering how short and I exciting they were. The main problem I had with this book is the errors that got worse nearer the end. They were not that bad to stop reading but got annoying at the end. Wrong word were written, I.e. he instead on she; an instead of and, etc.. Also the omission of words. The proof-reader should be fired as it wasn't enough to be bad but enough to be annoying and that can stop people reading.
While Ms Ryan has a pretty good imagination, it's very hard for the reader to search out her intended story because of the m-u-l-t-i-t-u-d-e of errors. Frankly, I think this author has a lot of nerve asking people to pay money for these books which are basically first drafts. If she's too broke/cheap to at least hire a good proofreader, then she should throw herself on the mercy of her friends and relatives, who could at least weed out some of the more obvious errors. I'm adding her name to my list of "don't buy again".

THE BASIC STORYLINE OF THE SERIES;

There are four books in total with two novellas but plans for three more novels and at least four more novellas are currently underway.

Now that, that's been established here is my reviews;

BOOK ONE - AN ALPHA'S PATH

This book is about a 25 yr old female human named Melanie and a105 yr old werewolf named Kade. Basically Kade has had issues in his love life previously and Melanie has no existing love life so the two are set on a blind date together by Kades younger brother and Melanie's best friend.

I found this book rushed and wasn't very interesting. I found Melanie very annoying and at times wanted to reach into the book and strangle her. She is a very indecicive and even though she's attracted to Kade and believes she loves him she still causes problems for him with a fellow werewolf and turns her back on him (so frustrating!) I am pleased than she came to her senses at the end though.

Kade on the other hand is instantly likable. He's gorgeous and attentive and sweet. A downright heart throb of a man who's instantly devoted to his "mate"

Personally I didn't like this book but I recommend it purely because it does set the base for the series with all the characters etc and the second book is much, MUCH better.

I rate this book a 3 out of 5 stars and say its okay but nothing I'd get excited over.

BOOK TWO - A TASTE FIR A MATE

This book is centred around Willow a human baker and Jasper a werewolf (second son of Pat and Edward, younger brother of Kade)

This book was absolutely brilliant with laugh out loud moments, heart stopping romance and tearful heart Bracking chapters. This book is an instant hit for me and ocfourse with the cliff hanger that it ended on concerning Reed (younger werewolf brother of Kade and Jasper) I simply had to read on to book three Trinity Bound.

Anyway I won't spoil it for you but it's jam packed with rivalry, fear, love, torture, death but not in the Gory sense but in a sitting on the edge of your seat can't put the book down need to know what happens next sense.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars and classify it as an absolute must read!
